★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best Indian food I've had in Japan; among the best Ive had compared to in Canada. The nann was soft and tasty; they asked how spicy you'd like it (medium has a little kick); and they knew we enjoyed eating Indian food the Indian way - with our hands! (Most locals eat the sauces like a soup). Oh, and the chai was great too! For two people our dinner was $50-60; well worth it!! Thank you to the chefs and staff for not adapting their food to Japanese tastes (like other Indian restaurants in Japan)!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mind you this review is not about the food but the owners behavior. The food may be good but we never had the chance to taste it.
We had visited during lunch hour. There were 3-4 couples but generally the place was empty. But still it took 10 minutes plus before we were attended. We explained to the attendant that we were vegetarian and he said that either take the elobarate 3 course lunch menu or order alacarte. We asked him if there was any simple lunch for vegetarians. To this he replied that he would ask the owner. The owner took another 10 minutes and said he could not offer us. And smaller meal options and went on to say and i quote "for the price of of a bicycle you can't expect a motorcycle."
This is simply bad behaviour on the part of the owner... Not done.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food was delicious, delicate, well made and the owner was soo kind and he has that kind of comfortable vibe,, I was so lucky to have a meal from this restaurant and I am definitely going to revisit :) I ordered the spicy curry but it was just fine. Not too hot not too plain, just fine. The owner was very kind and his explanation was very easy to understand. He could speak English so you don't need to worry when ordering :) Not only the food, the drink was delicious and creamy. I loved loved loved it :) Supperrr recommend it!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a beautiful little Indian spot. The atmosphere is comforting and the service is warm and pleasant. My wife and I had a very nice meal here, the food is excellent. We loved everything we had, the naan was soft, crispy and delicious. The price is very reasonable.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My husband and I visited for lunch on our way to Kinkakuji in October. FANTASTIC customer service, owners are super friendly and prompt. Food was amazing, we got the chicken tikka masala and butter chicken. The rice had a lovely, lightly sweet hint to it that complemented the spices and dairy in our dishes. Definitely worth having a meal there, and it made our honeymoon memorable!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went for a late lunch. Near to Kinkakuji and Ritsumeikan and open for lunch until 3pm. A nice friendly atmosphere and glad we chose it instead of the drive-in style chain/family restaurants nearby. Good value lunch set with choice of curries and also able to choose how hot you want your curry. Delicious nan bread and also has fresh coffee as an option as well as home-made mango lassi.
