★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 会津若松市内から車でアクセスしやすく観光の拠点にも良いでしょう。
少し寂れていますし泉質もよくある硫酸塩泉なんですがよく温まり腰痛などにもじんわりと効きます。泉質表なんかを見ても硫酸イオンが多いくらいで突出したものはないんですが会津藩の湯治場として栄えただけあって効能は確かなものかと思います。ここだけではありませんが温泉って数字や見た目だけではない「何か」があると思っています。
It is easy to access by car from Aizuwakamatsu city and is a good base for sightseeing.
It's a sulphate spring that is a little lonely and has a good spring quality, but it warms up well and is effective against back pain. Even if you look at the spring quality table, there is nothing that stands out because there are a lot of sulfate ions, but I think that the effect is certain because it prospered as a hot spring resort of the Aizu clan. It's not just here, but I think there is something about hot springs that isn't just about numbers and appearance.

それも、２０時には閉店してしまいます。
あと、射的屋さんが1店舗あります。
ホテルの夕食を予約した方が無難でしょう
There was only one restaurant open at night at Higashiyama Onsen.
It also closes at 20:00.
Also, there is one shooting shop.
It would be safer to book a hotel dinner

庄助の宿 瀧の湯
Shosuke no Yado is a beautiful onsen hotel , located next to a mountain stream in a picturesque surrounding. We enjoyed the rotenburo especially the Kashikiri. They have several kashikiris, unfortunately they are not free. We tried only one with the beautiful view of the " waterfalls"; what a memorable experience, wished it was winter and snowing then.
The hotel provides free shuttle from the Aizu Wakamatsu station. If you miss the hotel bus, the Aizu's loop bus would be a good option, after circling the town, the last stop is the hotel.
We had a pleasant stay, and would love to revisit one winter.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Another Onsen town of Japan. But the resorts here, generally do not promote day trippers. I instead recommend Tsuchiyu (1.5 hours drive), which is much more Tourist friendly.
