★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 季節折々の姿があり、見ていると心が思わず和んでしまう茨城で数少ない貴賓のある沼です。特に真冬の快晴の日は、朝の富士山、夕日に輝く赤富士が綺麗に見え、思わず手を合わせてしまうほど美しく映え渡ります。またうな丼の発祥の地としても知られており、沼周辺には数々のうなぎ専門店が建ち並ぶ… 老舗うなぎ屋いせやさんのある場所、下の方に白鳥がたくさんいて、たしかこちらの白鳥を皇居お堀に移したと言う話しを過去に聞いたことがあります。現在道の駅を国道６号線の沼のほとりに建設予定です。
