I think i just ate raw gyoza. Either that or a pink meat inside that tastes a bit sour is what people are raving about. Soup consistency is weird but the taste is unique.

Tasty Dandan-men’s soup with a little bit south east Asian spice. Free rice and shumai were nice.

Good tantanmen (chilli and sesame soup based ramen). The soup is very tasty and isn’t too spicy, so if you’re looking for a spicy one ask for it. They also offer siumai (pork steam dumpling) for 100¥ each. The gyozas are only available from 3pm during weekdays.

Had the Pork Ribs Tantanmen (1000yen) and the Gyoza (980yen). It's a rather unique style of Tantanmen with a light broth and a strong sesame taste. That being said, the taste was probably too light for me and not flavourful enough for my personal liking. The pork rib was pretty nice, similar to the Taiwanese style that you would find on their fried rice or la mian. The gyoza, rather pricey for 5 pieces, were definitely huge and filling, but also tasted rather average. Perhaps the main pull of the shop is the free-flow of rice that you can order? I passed on the rice since we ordered a lot, but it may perhaps go well with the Tantanmen.

For me, this is the old school type of tantan -men. Maybe I can say traditional type of Japanese shisenfu tantan-men. I can eat this once a week. Actually I do. Not super trendy, not super punch, not Instagramable taste but that’s a perfect for everyone.

I could come in ginza just to eat that dandanmian(chinese noodle). Took their pork belly version (bottom left one). Amazing! No English menu but the friendly staff will help you out to chose. left is spicy, right non spicy. 1000yen for the noodle. They open until 29:00 ?

First time eating Chinese style ramen in Japan. The difference between Japanese and Chinese ramen, is there is no lining up to get into the restaurant ? But seriously this is a pretty good noodle shop. Had the fried pork ramen, goes down pretty well with the Sapporo!

Delicious ramen and great price. Different style to what we have had previously - I had a soy based and my partner had the sesame and hot chilli and we both loved it. The pork slices were so tender and generous and the gyoza were HUGE and delicious!! Very friendly staff. They gave us an english menu and asked about our trip around Japan.
