★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Piping hot udon! Not a big fan of mochi in my udon so I’d probably opt for a bowl of udon with in season toppings native to Kyoto next time. Friendly staff with efficient service. Seems like a lot of locals visit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ On our second visit back at Nishiki Market we decided to try Fuimya - enjoyed the warmth and subtle sweetness of the soup from the signature fumi-nabe, not to mention the chewy udon - perfect for beating the winter chills. Definitely would re-visit the next time I'm back or when craving affordable and tasty udon hotpot.
