宮城三十三ヶ所観音霊場 7番札所です。以前、この神社は神明社と呼ばれていました。神明社の名の通り「天照大神」と「豊受姫神」の二柱を祭っていましたが、1910年に八坂神社に合祀されています。今はお稲荷様をお祭りし藤子山(稲荷)神社と呼ばれています。鳥居の前が公園になっていて、子供を見守っていくださっているようで「見守り神社」ともいわれています。時間を八坂神社に合祀される前に戻します。正確な場所は不明ですが七北川の岸に鴻巣遺跡があったようなのです。その上にこの神明社はありました。神明社と場所を同じくして、東北一帯を管理していた留守氏、つまり伊澤氏が京都からこの地に分霊して神様を祭ったといわれています。しかし、その祭神ははっきりせず諸説あります。この神社は現在の八坂神社に遷座しています。話を鴻巣遺跡にもどすと、この遺跡からは多くの出土品があり重要な場所だったと思われます。多分、七北川を舟でさかのぼり持ち込まれたものが多かったのでしょう。だから、留守氏が分霊を祭られたのでしょう。その後、神明社は七北川の洪水によりながされて、いまある場所近くの川辺に着いたといわれています。それは神の意志と人は解釈したのでしょうか、今、このようにしてここに社が建っています。

It is the 7th temple of the Kannon Sacred Ground in 33 places in Miyagi. Previously, this shrine was called Shinmei Shrine. As the name of Shinmei Shrine, it was dedicated to the two pillars of "Amaterasu Omikami" and "Toyouke Himegami", but it was enshrined at Yasaka Shrine in 1910. It is now called the Fujikoyama (Inari) Shrine, which is a festival for Inari. There is a park in front of the torii gate, which seems to be watching over the children and is also called the "watching shrine". I will return the time before it is enshrined at Yasaka Shrine. The exact location is unknown, but it seems that there was a Konosu ruin on the bank of the Nanakita River. On top of that was this Shinmeisha. It is said that Mr. Rusu, who managed the Tohoku area in the same place as Shinmei Shrine, that is, Mr. Izawa, devoted himself from Kyoto to this place and worshiped God. However, the deity is not clear and there are various theories. This shrine has been relocated to the current Yasaka Shrine. Returning to the Konosu site, it seems that it was an important place with many excavated items from this site. Perhaps many of them were brought back by boat along the Nanakita River. That is why Mr. Rusu was worshiped as a spirit. After that, Shinmeisha is said to have arrived at the riverside near the current location after being flooded by the Nanakita River. Did the person interpret it as the will of God, and now the company is built here in this way.
