★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very good accommodations and public bathroom (onsen). The service was excellent. If I would point anything negative at all was the lack of some information for foreigners, and as many other public bathrooms, tattooed people were not allowed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The hotel provides free shuttle service, however we need to call the hotel for pickup. The front desk didn＇t acknowledge us that they will help arrange the bedding set for us upon our check-in, if i had been informed upfront, i wont be doing it myself, quite tiring actually. :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We went here for a two-hour private open-air bath. The staff were very accommodating.
This ryokan is only seven minutes away from Ogotoonsen Station (around 28 minutes away from Kyoto Station) and they offer rooms with private bath and per hour private bath rental.
For non-Japanese speakers, some of the ryokan staff can converse and explain things in English. They even offered us a free ride going back to the Ogotoonsen Station.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely Ryokan with the option to have a private onsen. The normal onsen facilities are nice and spacious. If you have tattoos you better take a private onsen as you will nit be allowed in the regular onsen. The rooms are traditional and very well set. The dinner and breakfast are outstanding and well worth the money

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This onsen was my favorite part of our trip to Japan. The food is the best food I ate while in Japan. The onsen is wonderful. The hotel is clean, and peaceful. The staff is inconceivably amazing, kind, and helpful. They went out of their way to make what they thought was American style breakfast for my husband and I. We didn’t even ask. They just thought it would be nice to do so. I actually cried when we left because I was so grateful to everyone there. I love this place. I cannot wait to go back.
