★ ★ ★ ★ ★ １１月最後の週の土曜日に蹴上→大津間に乗船しました。大津→蹴上間がおよそ５０分ほどの乗船時間に対して蹴上→大津間は３５分ほどとかなり短くなっています。それには安全上の理由があり、ぜひ、乗船してガイドの方からの説明と船での実感を伴った体験をすると納得がいきます。桜の季節やもう少し早い紅葉の季節は予約が取りにくいようですが、予約サイトをちょくちょく見ていると時々キャンセルが出るのか予約があくことがあるようです。実際に乗ってみるまでは遊覧船的なイメージでしたが、痛快に歴史遺産のトンネルの中を船で走る体験は他ではなかなかできないのではないかと思いました。百年以上前の日本人が作り上げた琵琶湖疏水は現代の我々への貴重な文化遺産であることが改めて体験できました。今回大津に出てからは近江牛のお店を利用しましたが、三井寺をはじめ、色々散策できるところもあるので、ここで休日をゆっくり過ごすのもいいかもしれません。
On the last Saturday of November, I boarded between Keage and Otsu. The boarding time between Otsu and Keage is about 50 minutes, while the time between Keage and Otsu is about 35 minutes, which is quite short. There are safety reasons for this, and it makes sense to board the ship and experience it with explanations from the guide and a feeling of being on board. It seems that it is difficult to make a reservation during the cherry blossom season and the autumn leaves season, which is a little earlier, but if you look at the reservation site often, it seems that there are occasional cancellations or reservations. It was like a pleasure boat until I actually got on it, but I thought that it would be difficult to experience a boat ride through a tunnel of historical heritage. I was able to experience once again that the Lake Biwa Canal, which was created by the Japanese over 100 years ago, is a valuable cultural heritage for us today. Since I went to Otsu this time, I used the Omi beef shop, but there are many places where you can take a walk, including Mii-dera, so it might be a good idea to spend your holidays here.
