The building is also splendidly built in 1934 (Showa 9) as the first international tourist hotel in Shiga prefecture, called the Momoyama style. Now it is managed by Otsu City as a cultural facility, not a hotel. In addition to the restaurant, the guest rooms can be used as conference rooms. The latest parking lot is free for 3 hours if you use paid facilities (restaurant, English garden, etc.)

Admission is free, and the parking lot has a free service if you use a restaurant. The view was good, and the waffles I got at the restaurant were delicious and gorgeous.

I think that the customer service is good and reasonable in a calm atmosphere. For the parking lot, we used coin parking located about 200m in front of Otsukan.
堀	堀佳子 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 「竹灯籠」のイベントで訪れた「大津館」滋賀県は「竹灯籠」の発祥の地！? 蒲生郡竜王町で工房を構える「川部の郷」の作品展示会に…… 細かい手作業の作品に、目を見張ります。メンバーから、竹の収穫(切り出し)から加工(下処理)まで、全て自分達で行うそうです。大津館までの街路樹、両脇の桜はあと少しで満開をむかえ、圧巻の?の?のトンネルに成るでしょう…… 四季折々?素敵な?が出迎えてくれる、イングリッシュガーデンも、楽しみのひとつです。
t	taro nakazawa on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 琵琶湖ホテルを改装した施設です。レストラン、会議室、お土産ショップ、結婚式場として利用できるようです。駐車場はなく、近くの公営駐車場に停めます。施設利用で割引が受けられます。（駐車券を忘れずに）昭和9年にできた国際観光ホテルだけあって、建物はとても立派です。令和の今でも風格を感じます。中に入ると赤絨毯、落ち着いた照明、木製の床・・・当時の看板やフロント、両替所などもあり歴史を感じます。今回はレストランを利用しました。ヨットやミシガン、水鳥たちを見ながらの食事は、琵琶湖のありがたさを再認識できる豊かな時間でした。ディナーコースもあるようなので、夜の琵琶湖を眺めにまた来店したいと思います。 This is a renovated Lake Biwa Hotel. I still feel the personality of Reiwa. Once inside, you can feel the history with the red carpet, calm lighting, wooden floor, signboards, front desk, and currency exchange office at that time. This time I used the restaurant. Eating while watching yachts, Michigan, and waterfowl was a rich time to reaffirm the gratitude of Lake Biwa. There seems to be a dinner course, so I would like to come back to see Lake Biwa at night.
