★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 数年前ですが、この駅でSuicaのチャージをしようとしたところ「事前にチャージしろ！チャージしてないのはお前の都合だ」と駅員に怒鳴られます。そういうガラの悪い土地柄なのでしょうね。
A few years ago, when I tried to charge Suica at this station, the station staff shouted, "Charge in advance! It is your convenience to not charge." I guess it's such a bad land.

とてものどかな駅でした。駅前のSLが印象的です。
We used as XIV Tateshina nearest station. There is a shuttle bus (35 minutes required) that travels from / to the station and is convenient. The souvenirs are substantial as well. The air is clean and small
It was a very quiet station. The SL in front of the station is impressive.
