Service was a little slow but it wasn't an issue. These pancakes are normal pancakes, not the fluffy pancakes that you might see elsewhere. All in all pretty solid stop. Thanks!

The cafe is very small (5-6 tables depending on arrangement, maximum capacity of 14 people, or 16 people, if some are willing to squeeze), but I enjoyed the atmosphere of this tiny, relaxed corner located right next to the Kyoto aquarium. The pancakes themselves were of great quality and the always-visible chef seemed to be enjoying his work, taking great care in the preparation of the pancakes. The singular waitress was extremely attentive, combining the Japanese waiting style of leaving the customer alone until called and a more Western style (that I'm used to). Overall, to me it's a place that's hard to go wrong with! The only thing to be wary of is the small capacity, so perhaps choose a slightly quieter time to arrive.
