★ ★ ★ ★ ★ opens late. nobody on a friday night ard 8pm. service was so so , waitress looked stern. food was ok, nothing special. pork cutlet was too salty. price was ok.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the best Izakaya in Yuzawa, they are famous for kamameshi, a rice dish served in a steel bowl. The rest of the menu is extensive and has a lot of local specialities. Easy to recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I don't know why this place has low rating. The food is great as you can see in the pictures I posted.
The food is different from Tokyo area food. Sake and beers are different and taste good. Atmosphere is also great. They accept foreign customers with open hands.
Not too far from Echiko Yuzawa eki.
Also quite close to Yuzawa kogen ski area.
Try one of few dishes from meshi Gohan. I tried popular one with salmon and ikura and it was great.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Used to frequent this place regularly, off season as well, but the one female waitress has been so rude on numerous occasions that we will not be back. Had one of our worst dining experiences in Japan there.
