★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The pork cutlet is quite good, crispy outside and tender inside. The pork cutlet set, including a rice bowl, miso soup and salad, costs ~1600jpy. Reasonable given the big volume.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Friendly staff, big meals and the pork is very tender. Ninjintei is a popular restaurant in Yuzawa so you may have to wait but the staff are very organised and streamlined with getting customers seated as quickly as possible. Well worth the wait and they have an English menu.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very large portions of katsu. Curry was delicious as was pork cutlets. Portion size was huge. Would suggest ordering just the main entree, without the set (soup, pickles, tofu) for children and lighter eaters. They also had ginormous draft beers! So much food!

I ate so much, but I didn't get sick at all after finishing that huge portion of Katsu.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Honest filling food. Japanese tonkatsu at its best. Amazing every single time. With the set meal you get lots of bowls and very tasty miso soup. We normally add the onsen tamago too!
They have English menu but it’s super easy to order from the large photos on the Japanese menu as it’s very clear what you get. Service is quick, staff are friendly. It’s a firm favourite for a tasty meal without fail!
