メリケンパーク最南端にある像｡５体横列に並ぶ｡高さ4〜5mはある｡彫刻家、流政之市の作品｡神戸で創立した大手ゼネコンの竹中工務店(大阪市)が､90周年を記念して平成3年(1991)に完成させた。
●幕末に勝海舟や坂本龍馬らが関わった「神戸海軍操練所」に学んだ若者200余名が題材か。５体はいずれも山側を向いて立つ。しかし見方によっては、土佐桂浜の龍馬像の様に海に向いて大海原を視ている様にみえる｡イースター島の?モアイ像みたいだと例える方が多いしそう見える｡
５体のデザインを観てもらいたい､よく見ると形が異なる｡実際子供がモニュメント台座に上って遊んだりと親しまれている｡
■ Kobe Kaientai Monument # 20210211
A statue at the southernmost tip of Meriken Park. Five bodies are lined up in a row. The height is 4 to 5 m. A work by sculptor Masayuki Nagare. Takenaka Corporation (Osaka City), a major general company founded in Kobe, commemorates the 90th anniversary. It was completed in 1991.
● Is it the subject of more than 200 young people who learned from the "Kobe Naval Training Center" where Katsu Kaishu and Ryoma Sakamoto were involved at the end of the Tokugawa shogunate? All five bodies stand facing the mountain side. However, depending on the point of view, it looks like the statue of Ryoma in Tosa Katsurahama facing the sea and looking at the ocean. Many people liken it to the statue of ? Moai on Easter Island.
I want you to see the design of the five bodies, and if you look closely, the shape will be different. In fact, children are familiar with climbing up to the monument pedestal and playing.
