High end tempura where each piece is deep fried right in front of you. A bit expensive so go for lunch for the best value. Definitely worth the try if you’ve never had “proper” tempura!

Feast your eyes on the views of the Tokyo skyline and watch tempura masters at work whipping up works of art. Be advised that getting there shortly after opening hours might win you the best seats in the house (in the far corner by the window) where you can see Tokyo Station as well as the Tokyo Sky Tree. Staff speaks adequate English (along with their English menu) and is extremely friendly and helpful. Great for a special night out.

Most upscale Tempura I have ever had. Very delicious and a special experience to enjoy Tempura this way: counter fried and enjoyed right out of the oil, all the while enjoying great view of Tokyo from 35th floor. Only downside? Really expensive... not that it is unworthy but this can only be reserved for special occasions. Will like to come back again to celebrate some big dates.

I haven't been to many tempura places in Japan, but this is one that definitely comes to mind if I want to have tempura for lunch. The service is good, and nice view too.

Good place for tempura in downtown Tokyo. Food is very clean and well prepared. Plus they have a good drink selection. All their food is sourced locally, which means it is fresh. While it is tempura, it is not that oily because it is well cooked by the table. A bit pricey however: plan for for about US$250 / person.

Quite possibly the best authentic Tempura you can try in Japan. The Chef is so particular about the quality of the tempura so he only uses the finest oil, cotton oil. He presents to you an experience, a show on how precise he prepares the batter. From heating the oil, testing the temperature to adding the flour, etc. Then he introduces to you the ingredients before massaging the shrimps like a chiropractor so that every shrimp tempura is presented to you in a straight form instead of the curly shrimp we all know. Despite being a fried art piece, only a few drips of oil are present on the Japanese washi. If you understand Japanese, you will get a lot more information. The Chef doesn't talk much when perfecting his art. But in his limited English, he will try to tell you which seasoning is recommended for which tempura. Luxurious fine dining that gives you the most authentic Japanese experience. Definitely recommended to try this place at least once.
