They have an English menu but they probably don't speak much English. I think the okonomiyaki was some of the better ones I've had. It's a little on the expensive side of okonomiyaki, but still very reasonable.

I've tried okonomiyaki in many other places (both outside and in Japan) and my experience here has always been positive, both in flavor and service. Apparently locals don't like this Okonomiyaki place and prefer others while tourists seldom complain (I've read some reviews of some racist behavior from the staff, which at least didn't happened to me, on the contrary they've been really polite). It is a bit pricey compared to other places indeed, but nothing that I would call outrageous.

It was one of the few places open so we headed in for an authentic Hiroshima okonomiyaki experience after the place down the street had a queue outside. The food was disappointing, came out in five minutes and didn't taste fresh. Then I saw the cook drop a spatula on the floor and pop it back up onto the grill while preparing another customer's food. I couldn't stomach more than a few bites but on the positive side the beer was cold!
