★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 改札出たら、三菱ＵＦＪ銀行もあるしアピタとも直結しており便利。
また藤田医科大学病院行きのバスに地下鉄徳重経由の地下鉄赤池行きの
バスもあります。参考ですが、徳重駅から平針試験場にも近いですが、
徒歩では距離あるのでタクシーを使うとメーターは千円弱でいけます。

急行列車が停まります。
上下線に追い越し設備があります。
一駅豊橋寄りの豊明駅は、同じ豊明市内ですが、この駅の方が利用者が多いので、全ての急行が停車します。
列車ダイヤによっては、急行が特急に抜かれる事がありますが、この駅から名古屋駅までは、20分ぐらいで到達出来るから、利用者が多いのも頷けますよ。
何と言っても、かつての急行は、知立駅と鳴海駅の間は無停車だったので、便利になったと思います。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 市の名を冠する東隣の準急停車駅の豊明駅よりも利用客が多く賑わいがあり、快速特急と特急は通過するが急行は全て停車する。また、藤田医科大学病院への最寄駅でもあり、病院行きの名鉄バスが駅北側のバスターミナルから頻繁に運行されています。
夜のイルミネーションも素敵です。
