★ ★ ★ ★ ★ こちらの場所～西大畑公園は、昭和46年まで刑務所が在ったとのこと。
刑務所移転、取り壊しの際に地元の方々がこちらの赤煉瓦の塀の撤去を惜しみ、今のような形で遺されているそうです。
鉄格子のはまった通用門は縮小はされていますが、当時の煉瓦を利用。その時代の趣き感じとることが出来ます。
『地獄極楽小路』を挟み向かい側の黒塀は、かつての料亭。その小路の名の由来もまた興味深く感じられます。
There was a prison in this place-Nishi Ohata Park until 1946.
It seems that the locals spared the removal of this red brick wall when the prison was relocated and demolished, and it is left in its current form.
Although the entrance gate with the iron grid has been reduced, it uses the bricks of the time. You can get a taste of the times.
The black fence on the opposite side of "Jigoku Gokuraku Koji" is a former restaurant. The origin of the name of the alley is also interesting.
