We had a plate of sashimi, tofu salad, and roasted potatoes covered with smoked cheese, all of which were delicious and thoughtfully prepared!
Eat here!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had dinner here. We sat at the counter, and watched the chef preparing all the food (a nice visual experience). The grilled eel and grilled chicken were amazingly delicious. The smoked oyster, cod and cheese were also excellent. Don't forget to try their sake, they have excellent choices, and the ones we tried were all very good. The chef and hostess were very nice and explained to us the places that we were planning to visit the next day. Highly recommend this place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place was right next to my Ryokan and it was amazing. The staff is super accommodating and even had a handwritten English menu for us. We didn't speak much Japanese but between what we spoke and the surprisingly good English the staff did - we got along great and had a ton of fun there. We ended up chatting with a few of the other patrons too. I wish I'd been able to talk to our server more as she was interested and asking us questions about where we were from, but had to go work in back early on.
Great food, service isn't super fast but there's only the one chef and he works right in front of you. They were right on with the sake recommendations too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A great accidental discovery. Small, unpretentious, cozy. The staff are extremely welcoming, the food is beautifully arranged and tastes amazing. The shop is very nondescript as the door does not face the road, and the shop does not have a kanji or English name. It’s clientele mainly consists of locals. We had the Omakase set, which costs ¥5600, and consists of 5 courses chosen by the Chef. He determines the courses when he shops in the morning, and he always tries to incorporate seasonal, high quality ingredients into the dish. They are also extremely friendly, and are always willing to explain dishes to guests. Through chatting with them, we actually found out that they don’t even know that they are on Google Maps. But, the restaurant is rather small, so be sure to make a reservation in advance.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing insider experience! We were at the counter sharing good sake and moment with this amazing owners. I highly recommend the selection of sashimi. After three weeks traveling around japan and experimenting different Izakaya, this one is the purest one we could have. Go for it!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had such a great dinner here. I believe the restaurant is run by husband (chef) and wife, that we could feel their hospitality and professionalism of Japanese food. We were starving by the time we got in and we couldn’t help ourselves when the food was served... (which is why for some pictures I took only piece of food...). Nonetheless, we ordered Sake and it tasted pure and smooth and they did give good recommendations. Everything was perfect here, we enjoyed the time dining here. We highly recommend to others.
