They have English menu and spoke English so it made the experience easier. Small dinning space though.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've never had this style sushi before. It was good, the pressed vinegared eel roll. Getting small rolls makes it pretty cheap. The shop is tiny, I felt bad not being able to chat with the couple who own the place.

Really wonderful.
Specialty sushi unique to this place are: Pressed Sushi of salmon and Steamed Sushi.
It's a small family run business and it's Kyoto, so some people thinks it's expensive but it is actually very reasonable prices.
If you want mouthful of sushi for cheap price, go to some company run domestic chain sushi restaurant. This is not Your place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of our best meals in Kyoto. Found this on a whim searching for lunch on Google maps. Arrive when they open or be prepared to wait, as there are 5 seats. Service was incredibly friendly and the sushi was fresh and delicious. We both ordered the omakase and we were stuffed for a very reasonable price. Do not miss this place.
