C	Chaminda Madugalle on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 10 minutes walk from both Kintetsu Nishi no kyo station and Toshodai ji temple. Large ancient building will make you feel good. You can find some staffs related to Theravada Buddhism. Buddha statue here is very sacred.
J	Joshua Clubley on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A very nice temple, far enough away from Nara Park that it is nice and quiet with few crowds but close enough that it is very easily accessible from Nara station. The temple itself is quite large with several beautiful looking pagodas. Admission was around 1100 yen for access to 4 of the buildings and a little bit more for access to all but as long as you don't mind not going inside the pagodas then the cheaper option is fine as you can still see them up close. Definitely worth the trip from Nara

The temple is the headquarters of the Hossō school of Japanese Buddhism. Yakushi-ji is one of the sites that are collectively inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, under the name of "Historic Monuments of Ancient Nara."[1]

I	Ian Gore on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Whoa! Big and empty, save for school children and elders. Definitely a place that tourists miss on their way to the tourism centers of Nara. Give this place a look see if you can spare the time, they have an impressive sized Miroku (medicine buddha) image on display.
J	Judy OBrien on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The temple is easily reached by train, although the temple entrance is on the opposite side to the station entrance. The temple compound is quite large and the buildings are well preserved. The entrance fee is 800yen. It is worth a visit if you have the time.
A	Annie Sobol on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This temple was amazing! The left side pagoda has these bronze relief scenes inside of Buddha that are incredible (no photos allowed). The Buddhas here are absolutely beautiful. It’s a rather large complex with much to view, it’s worth the higher package price of ¥1,700.
