駅舎は改装されてきれいです。
待合室もあり、清潔でした。ハイキングを終えて次の電車まで30分程度の待ち時間がありましたが、ゆっくり休憩することが出来ました。
下りホーム（安房鴨川方面）にツチクジラの骨が展示されてました。
駅横（駅から直接行けない）に捕鯨史料館があり、その隣に道の駅があります。
地元の特産物が購入できたり、飲食できます。
おすすめの駅です。
The entrance to the station is from the opposite side of the national highway.
The station building has been renovated and is clean.
There was also a waiting room and it was clean. After the hike, I had to wait about 30 minutes until the next train, but I was able to take a rest.
Berardius bones were exhibited on the down platform (toward Awa-Kamogawa).
There is a whaling archive next to the station (not directly accessible from the station), and next to it is a roadside station.
You can buy local specialties and eat and drink.
This is a recommended station.

列車行き違いのため3分前後停まる列車が多いので、途中下車せずとも菜の花と車両を合わせた写真が撮れます。
大回り乗車でもこの駅を通れるので気軽に春を感じられますね♪
晴れているともっと良い写真が撮れるかと思われます。
Rape blossoms are blooming on the side of the home.
Since there are many trains that stop for about 3 minutes due to crossing trains, you can take a picture of the rape and the car without stopping.
Even if you take a round trip, you can pass through this station so you can feel the spring easily ♪
I think that better photos can be taken when it is sunny.

東へ抜けられる通路の設置を願いたい。

ここは外房ではあるが、線区名は内房線(うちぼうせん)で蘇我〜木更津〜館山〜安房鴨川である。嘗ては房総西線(ぼうそうさいせん)とよばれていた。因みに千葉〜蘇我は内房にありながら外房線である。こちらも嘗ては房総東線とよばれていた。
基本的には殆どの列車が木更津〜館山〜安房鴨川〜上総一ノ宮間140kmを、令和3(2021)年3月から2両編成のワンマン運転になった。朝夕のみ4両編成になったりする。
平成7(1995)年に鯨の形をした駅舎に改築(鯨に見えるかどうか···)。駅前にあるフェニックスの大木とあわせてなんとなく南国の雰囲気を醸し出している。
駅前広場を抜けると古道・伊南房州通往還が走っている。
平成18(2006)年3月までは安房郡和田町であった。和田町道路元標が駅から徒歩10分弱のところ、千葉銀行和田支店前に残されている。
大正11(1922)年12月20日開業。

Uchibo Line Wadaura Station (Wadaura)
This is the Sotobo line, but the name of the line is the Uchibo line, which is Soga-Kisarazu-Tateyama-Awa-Kamogawa. It was once called the Boso West Line. By the way, Chiba-Soga is on the Sotobo line even though it is in the Uchibo line. This was also called the Sotobo Line.
Basically, most trains run 140km between Kisarazu-Tateyama-Awa-Kamogawa-Kazusa-Ichinomiya, and from March 2021 it became a two-car train. Only in the morning and evening, it will be a 4-car train.
Reconstructed into a whale-shaped station building in 1995 (whether it looks like a whale ...). Together with the big Phoenix tree in front of the station, it creates a tropical atmosphere.
After passing through the station square, the old road, Inami Boshu, runs back and forth.
Until March 2006, it was Wada-cho, Awa-gun. The Wada-cho Kilometer is a little less than 10 minutes on foot from the station, and is left in front of the Wada branch of the Chiba Bank.
Opened on December 20, 1922.
