★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 2面2線相対式ホームの交換駅。山に囲まれてとても静かな環境です。駅舎内に駅ノートが置かれていて地元愛を感じる駅ですね。駅のすぐ近くにある2箇所の鉄橋は伯備線の有名撮影地です。
An exchange station for two-way two-line relative platforms. It is a very quiet environment surrounded by mountains. It is a station where station notes are placed in the station building and you feel local love. Two railway bridges in the immediate vicinity of the station are famous photography spots on the Hakubi line.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 高梁川とほぼ平行して走る伯備線は「国鉄型」車輌が活躍する路線である。「やくも」を含め「待ち合わせ」が結構多い。また貨物列車も旅客列車の合間を縫って走りEF641000番台が活躍している。この駅でもすれ違いは多かったが「やくも」の運休で単なる「時間調整」する普通電車もある。木野山駅とほぼ同じ型の駅舎。
The Hakubi Line, which runs almost parallel to the Takahashi River, is a line where "JNR-type" vehicles play an active role. There are quite a lot of "meetings" including "yakumo". Freight trains also run between passenger trains, and the EF64 1000 series is active. There were many passes at this station, but there are also regular trains that simply "adjust the time" due to the suspension of "Yakumo". A station building of almost the same type as Kinoyama Station.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 目の前に高梁川が流れる駅です。駅周辺の田畑や家屋には見事な石垣群があり、電車の中からでも見ることができますね。
It is a station where the Takahashi River flows in front of you. There are wonderful stone walls in the fields and houses around the station, and you can see them even from the train.
