書籍『うたづの祠』より一部抜粋。常夜灯にも彫刻されている慶応４年（西暦1868年）坂下中とあるように、元々坂下地区全体が氏子として奉賛していたと思われる。戦中まではその状態が続いたというが、戦後は世帯数が増えて坂下西と坂下東に分かれた。坂下地域に住んでいる人からの言い伝えで代々信仰されている。
戦後、少し生活が豊かになったころ、お日待のときは鏡餅をお供えし「アラメ」「オカラ」を炊いて参拝者に接待していた記録がある。昭和50年を最後に現在はお供え配りはしていないそう。

It seems that the entire Sakashita district was originally praised as a parishioner, as it is in the 4th year of Keio (1868 AD), which is also engraved on the nightlight. It was said that the situation continued until the war, but after the war, the number of households increased and it was divided into Sakashita west and Sakashita east. It has been worshiped for generations by legend from people living in the Sakashita area.
After the war, when life became a little richer, there is a record that when we were waiting for the day, we offered kagami mochi and cooked "arame" and "okara" to entertain worshipers. It seems that it is not currently being offered as an offering at the end of 1975.
