Best Unagi restaurant in japan

A	Allen M on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cheap unagi but really good taste. You will love it for the price, almost as good as the expensive places. Good for a quick bite as long as there is no lineup outside. Better to come before the night time as it is extra fresh. I found night time a little bit more dry, but still very good

The fish is just perfect!You have to try it if you want to have some great Japanese food! Be prepared you have to wait for a table because there are many customers and not many seats in this restaurant!
L	Lim Swee Siang on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very good place to have unagi and they are very reasonably price. Starting from 500 yen from a small bowl. You can also order their eel innards at 250 per stick which has a nice texture but not much taste. Will be better if there is more sauce on the eel.
S	Scott Ng on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Queued for almost an hour during lunchtime and to be honest, it has the cheapest unagi at 500 yen but for taste and quality wise, it is only passable. The eel was dry and a bit hard. The sauce was just ordinary and nothing to shout about. It's just cheap unagi bento. Have tried better, juicier and fatter unagi so definitely not impressed. The restaurant is quite small and charcoal ashes can be seen flying around so makes it really authentic Japanese grilled joint. Service is friendly and efficient. Overall a good eel place for starters who have never tried unagi bento before or simply when you are on a budget.

However pound for pound, its not the better quality of fish. Be prepared to queue for at least 45mins at peak period. Beware you will smell like barbecue after dining in. If you do not like waiting you could have the take out option.

Downsize is the place is always crowded and packed. Queue is expected. The smoke from grill eel is filled up the entire restaurant, easily get choke by smoke. When I came out from the restaurant, my entire cloths smell like charcoal and eel. LOL...

Easily the most affordable eel restaurant in the area and the portions are no joke either! I’d gladly send anyone there who wants a great dining experience. The chef even complimented me on my limited Japanese skills. Super friendly and a great experience!!
