★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was a first time to visit here with some friends from abroad. We had a beautiful lunch and enjoyed drinking sake together. After that the owner of restaurant shown us "tugaru shamisen" music live which is played by japanese traditional instruments. They gave us a pepar of imformetion for it and explained what kinds of music are:)
The owner and other staffs are very kind and friendly also thier music and song are awesome to us!! We liked it very much!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food was okay but it’s the whole atmosphere and live shamisen performance that earns my 5 stars. The performance timings are fixed so you have to book or drop in before that. The main difference between the 1 tray meal (2,500yen) and 2 tray meal (3,500yen) is the tempura. I uploaded both.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I think this might be a family business. I wanted a place that was authentic and this delivered! As women in kimonos lunched behind me, I worked my way through a very filling double bento. They also did a performance with traditional instruments around 12:15pm. Food, service, ambiance were all amazing! But consider a reservation- it doesn't seat many people.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ unforgetable memory. My most favorite restaurant in asakusa. Everything was perfect. I was totally impressed. Shamisen performance was awesome. They can speak english well. I ordered 1 layered bento box for lunch. (Yoshi set) It was delicious. After my meal, they serve a little piece of cake and hot tea that i can enjoy during the performance. The atmosphere was amazing. Very friendly service. The staffs are sweet and polite. I will definitely visit again for dinner when i go to Asakusa next time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ For a rare experience, you won't pay for much. The staff speak good English. The options are very limited as you can order seasonal dishes offered in bento box sets. ¥2500 or ¥3500
The food is good but the main attraction are the live shamisen performances.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We came here for lunch because we were in the area after doing a Go-Kart tour around Tokyo (highly recommended!). They accommodate us even we came close to their closing time at 1:30 pm. We thought it was an Unagi restaurant (as per google map description) but it was a Japanese style bento lunch.
The food taste good, the service was friendly and we like the Shamisen performance. We didn't know that there are various types of Shamisen music around Japan.
There are only two set meals for lunch, the ￥3500 and the ¥2500. The Japanese sake that we had was nice too.
They accept credit cards and this is a good restaurant for Pescatarian.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Delicious traditional Japanese dishes with amazing and exciting performance of Tsugaru Shamisen (Japanese 3-string instrument). The restaurant owner is a famous performer of the instrument and very friendly. Great place for both locals and tourists. (I see more foreign visitors than locals though)
Must reserve way in advance!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The staff were so friendly! I loved all the food too. They were out of the sake on the menu but recommended another good one. They explained the shamisen and different playing styles. The performance was so good. The father played and then the kids. One of my favorite experiences in Japan. I highly recommend going to experience Japanese music.
