関	関清志 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 2021年5月11日に見学しました。江戸時代の藩政期に建物の戸数に課税された制度改正に対して母屋と馬屋を連結した曲り屋を建てるようになったそうです。南部曲り屋が生まれた草々期に建てられた農家だと伺いました。 12月~3月までは、休業で見学できないそうです。 We visited on May 11, 2021. It is said that during the feudal era of the Edo period, a bender that connected the main building and the horse shop was built in response to the taxation on the number of units in the building. I heard that it was a farmhouse built in the early days when the Southern Curver was born. From December to March, it is closed and you cannot visit.

This Nambu style house (Nambu is the name of a daimyo who had reigned this area in Edo) is highly characteristic even in Japan. It is easy to get here but you cannot look inside in winter.
E	El Kaiokamele on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An interesting place to imagine how life was long ago. Kayabuki homes are always fascinating and it was nice to see one so well preserved and cared for. The hearth and it's mechanisms, the shims on the foundation, and the traditional sink were some of the more thought-provoking points. This is off the beaten path but worth going to when you are in Tōwa.
