If you like ramen without soup. I personally think it lacks depth and complexity but apparently some do. Give it a try to find out

My friends and I went here 3 times in two weeks. These noodles are so good! Definitely add the spicy garlic sauce when you order from the vending machine.

Abura Soba is like a ramen without soup! Instead, seasoning oil, garlic and onion are added to give taste to this delicious dish. I had the regular big size abura soba (only 760 yen) and it was delicious.

Been here a bunch on my layovers in Tokyo. I have been a noodle nut....absolutely love ramen, soba....all kinds...my whole life. Total foodie. This place, after flying all over and trying noodles of all types pretty much everywhere I go, is BY FAR my favorite spot in the world. They are clean, efficient, polite....price is more than reasonable, and the presentation is fantastic. Perfect noodles, wet but not soupy, cooked exactly right. And it’s ALWAYS the same. FYI: ordering the spicy kind is pretty spicy....and slightly more expensive....keep in mind you can add chili pepper add-on at the table to your liking for free ??. I use two scoops and follow the menu instructions on what sauces to add based on bowl size...and mix. Then there’s the taste. OMG the taste. Makes INCREDIBLE too small a word. A must try. I know you can’t tell, but I’m hooked for sure and highly recommend ??. Pics below. First is how it comes out, then you do the required mixing and get the final product. Now please excuse me while I demolish this...

Along the main fanfare of Akasaka mitsuke station. This shop is unique as it only serve dry noodles. Dry noodles is not uncommon in south east Asia region but by itself it's not so common in Japan without an thick soup dip. The difference here is the texture of it's slightly thicker noodles that has certain bite and chewy. Osen tamago (half boiled eggs) infuse the eggy favours unto the noodles. It give it a fuller taste to it. The bowl of noodle s itself is drenched with a few round of their in house oil before serve. The rest are typical assorted ingredients you will find in Asia like pork, spring onion etc. On top of that you could also customize your noodles with cheese and other topping to form your unique favour. There are associated condiments you could add for your enhancement, like chilli oil, vinegar and chilli paste. Overall an eat and go hole in the wall eatery. A flavorful fare for any time.

We're fan of this dry ramen/soupless chain, believe it's the original abura soba chain, so if we ever see it we tend to drop in. Simple menu but you can customize with as much vinegar and chilly oil to your liking as you mix it up. They claim to have less oil, fat and sodium compared to traditional soup-based ramens. Either way, has a rich taste without being too filling or overpowering, bouncy thicker noodles. Highly recommended to try at least once if you're looking to try different kind of ramens.
