You can overlook Kawanishi Town. The way from the road to the observatory is very confusing, but please manage to get to it!

意外と知られていないが、置賜盆地を一望にできる絶景の地。道路は狭いが車で頂上近くまで上ることができる。
頂上には、展望台が整備されており、川西町はもちろん、遠く長井市から南陽市など置賜盆地が見渡せる。
※冬期は閉鎖されています。
Its observation decks is one of sightseeing spots in Kawanishi.
It has a wonderful panoramic view of Oitama (Okitama) Basin.

Although it is not known unexpectedly, it is a place with a superb view overlooking the Okitama Basin. The road is narrow but you can go up to the top by car.
There is an observatory on the top, and you can see not only Kawanishi Town but also the Oji Basin from Nagai City to Nanyo City.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 川西町中郡のふもとにある展望台ですが、周りは田んぼと畑と民家がぽつぽつと有ります。
日中は、天候が良ければ緑生い茂る自然を堪能する事が出来るのと展望台から見える米沢の街並みの一部や川西の一部など写真では表現できないほどの絶景で夜は綺麗な星空が一望できるので星空の写真を撮る人やデートスポットとしてもベストな場所だと思います。
It is an observatory at the foot of Naka-gun, Kawanishi-machi, but there are rice fields, fields, and private houses all around.
During the day, if the weather is good, you can enjoy the lush nature, and you can see the beautiful starry sky at night with superb views that can not be expressed in photos such as part of the cityscape of Yonezawa and part of Kawanishi seen from the observation deck I think that it is the best place for people who take pictures of the starry sky and dating spots.
