T	Trip.com Member on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We arrive early and the reception at the exit of the train station took care of our luggage while we started exploring the area. In terms of food, i felt the food in the restaurants at the shopping area was much tastier and cheaper. I stayed in an Executive Twin room so it was nice.
G	Gary P on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great resort for the family. Good choice of accommodations, from hotel suites to multi-room cottages. For meals you have a good selection of restaurants. Sprawling outdoor shopping plaza on the grounds plus lots of activities for the whole family like biking, tennis, etc.. Fun vacation for all!
A	Apple Chan on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice view from the hotel room. You may enjoy the view while having breakfast as well! It is a bit far from the station if you are going to walk, but there are shuttle buses to and from the station, and to the other parts of the resort.

Our room was clean, functional and with a great view over a small pond and one of the greens of its golf course, just beautiful. All the staffs are courteous and helpful with our questions since it’s our first visit to Karuizawa. The breakfast was amazing with the restaurant overlooking the pond and red leaves. We would have liked to see an onsite onsen bath facility than have to take a shuttle bus to another Prince Hotel.
T	Triska Sarwono on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice and spacious hotel but it is VERY HARD to get a meal here due to limited access to downtown and other hotels. They only have one luxury restaurant, and the other is a small cafe / bar that closes at 7.30pm. If you want something else for dinner, you need to take a bus that comes every 30 mins. I spent my NYE eating instant ramen in my room because it's too troublesome for my family (kids and elders) to go around in bus during winter. The next morning when we come for the breakfast, we have to wait for another 30 mins because the restaurant is full! Also, our rooms are located very far away in semi-outdoor area. We have to go through the freezing temperature to get to our rooms. Totally painful.
w	weber chen on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hotel service has much more to improve. First, front desk did not take good care of the room prepare for my friend. Second is the pick up service. Since we are staying in cottage, so we are relying on the pick up service to go in and out the room. But during pick hours, the wait time could be 30-40 minutes. That is ridiculous for such long waiting just to go back to the hotel room from lobby. We’ve visited many Japanese hotel, and always felt the warm and welcome service. But just not feel it in this hotel.

Do note this branch is further in from the station and shopping, so you'll need to take the free shuttle bus to get around the area. Will definitely return!

There is NOTHING walkable from this hotel, no ski resort, no hot spring, no affordable restaurant (there is a 10000yen/person one in the hotel), no convenience store, no shopping mall. You want anything above, you need to take their shuttle bus which takes 30+ mins to go to anywhere. I decided to take taxi to the Prince ski area, which took me 1740yen. the air conditioner in my room doesn't control the temperature well so the room was hot when I fell sleep but became cold around 3-4am. small TV, and dated feeling in general for their guest rooms the hot spring of this hotel (which is not inside the building of the hotel and will take 30mins on average one way as mentioned above) is also disappointing, especially for its outdoor part where you got no view at all, despite the name "hot spring in forest" The two stars is for the spacious room, nice view from the room, and fine decorated lounge. However these good features are all quite "static", so unless your trip plan to just sit in your room or in the hotel lounge all the time, you will find this hotel very inconvenient whenever you want to actually DO something in your trip...
