★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Central shopping arcade transecting central Kyoto. One of the main hubs for shopping. Easy to navigate. Some better shops in other parts of Kyoto in my opinion. I'm by no means an expert though.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Shopping arcade perpendicular to Nishiki Market around Nakagyo Ward, Kyoto. We enjoyed a leisure walk at this very spacious shopping area mostly with upscale dry goods (apparel, bookstores, etc), restaurants, and cafes. It was very spacious, clean, and comfortable with covered high ceiling, making it an enjoyable stroll whatever time or season.
This place is so much in contrast with the nearby Nishiki Market, I personally enjoyed the walk here compared to the more popular shopping attraction, Nishiki.
