★ ★ ★ ★ ★ この駅ができて、イオンモールに行きやすくなりなりました。また、岩国方面に帰る場合、この駅で乗れば、次の広島駅で降りる方が多いので、すぐに座ることができます。
なお、改札口は上りと下りで別れています。
青春18きっぷや裏側白い切符は自動改札機を通せないので、駅員さんの滞在時間が限られる下りホームに行くと、自動改札機の右側に切符読み取りのセンサーがあり、そこに切符を置いて、インターホンで係員に確認してもらったら、自動改札機を通れるように機械処理してくれて感動しました。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 山陽本線は線路で広島貨物ターミナル駅を抱き込む形となり広がりを見せる所にある駅。駅構内で繋がっておらず広島方面乗り場は無人となっている。貨物列車の走る線路に快速を走らせれば(普通電車の追い抜きを考えているのだろう)という意見があるが貨物列車の時刻変更や定時運行を妨げる事。投資に見合う乗客の利用増加がそこまで見込めるか？で実現ば難しいと思われる。マツダスタジアムの案内も出ていた。

イオンモール広島府中の最寄り駅（徒歩10分程度）です。
上下線のホームは別々にあります。
コンビニがない側のホームの列車が広島駅に向かいます。
コンビニがある側のホームの列車が広島駅から離れる方向に向かいます。
初めて利用される方はご注意ください。
車椅子の方も乗れるエレベーターがあります。
周辺道路は車の往来がかなりの数なので事故などにお気を付けて。
ホームは風が吹くと夏は涼しいですが冬は寒いです。

名前が似ている、某市営地下鉄天神駅、某西鉄天神駅とは違って簡素な佇まい。
駅員さんから改札口が目の前にあるのに、自由通路を通って改札口へ云々言われて、のちょっとしたトラップあり。
上りと下りの改札口が独立していたとは存じませんでした。
