Unmanned station. There is a waiting room, an automatic ticket vending machine and a toilet. Compatible with transportation IC cards. There is a junior high and high school in the vicinity, so there are many students there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 駅の裏が、松笠山ハイキングコースの始点となっていて、琴琵羅神社を経て松笠観音や8畳岩展望台に行く事ができます。
展望台までは、山道を40分程度、高低差300m程登ります。若干の急勾配はありますが、展望台からの眺めは最高です。
登山道へは、駅舎の右側の細い路地を入ると小さな踏切がありますので、そこから駅裏にでて幅1メートル程度の道を登って行きます。
The back of the station is the starting point of the Matsukasayama hiking course, and you can go to Matsukasa Kannon and the 8 tatamiiwa observatory via Kotobira Shrine.
To reach the observatory, climb the mountain road for about 40 minutes and the height difference is about 300m. There is a slight steep slope, but the view from the observatory is the best.
There is a small railroad crossing on the right side of the station building to the mountain trail, so go out to the back of the station and climb the road about 1 meter wide.
