Jurakudai South Sotobori Ruins (Shorinji Temple Precincts) Jurakudai was a mansion built by Hideyoshi Toyotomi (1536-98) in the infield of the historic site of Ouchi Ura in 1586, and was completed the following year. It is said that the Kuruwa of Kitanomaru, Minami Ninomaru, and Nishinomaru were built around the main enclosure in the inner hull, with the outer hull of Motoshoji-dori in the north, Horikawa-dori in the east, Shimodate-dori in the south, and Senbon-dori in the west. It is estimated. In Bunroku 4 (1595), Hideyoshi forced Toyotomi Hidetsugu (1568-95) to commit suicide on suspicion of rebellion, and also destroyed Jurakudai, which was Hidetsugu's residence. This stone mark shows the remains of the south moat of Jurakudai. The depression from the main hall of Shorinji Temple to the graveyard is thought to be the site of Jurakudai's outer south moat, and he is there, and there is a stone monument of "Jurakudai's south outer moat near here" in front of the gate. In addition, there is a height difference of about 3.5m from the front of the mountain gate to Demizu-dori in the north. Heian Miyauchi back eastern limit and Kenshunmon ruins The western region of the precincts of Shorinji Temple is the eastern limit of the inner lining, which was also the setting for the "Genji Monogatari," and the Kenshun Gate was set up on the eastern outer Tsukiji of the four gates on the inner lining. After entering this gate and passing through the Shinyo Gate, which was set up in the next inner corridor, you will reach Shishinden Hall via Onmeiden and Ryokiden. This gate was also called the Saemon camp because it was packed with Saemon officials. In the 10th year of the Tencho (833), female pheasants gathered on the north side of the Kenchumon gate and were shot by guards. Seems to be in the literature. The precincts of Shorinji Temple, which was built in posterity, are one step lower than the surrounding area because it was built during the Azuchi-Momoyama period. By hitting the south outer moat trace of. March 2008, Kyoto City
