★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I absolutely love karinto manju and this place did not disappoint. I try to find spots all over Tokyo and I’m glad I found this one. The sweet bean paste is my favorite, and the slightly crunchy outside makes this one delicious treat. I highly recommend trying it if you haven’t, or if you’re a connoisseur like me, it’s worth a stop.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We visited Taiyaki Kanda Daruma Ueno 2 days in a roll when we stayed in Ueno during our last trip to Japan. Love love love their Azuki (red beans) Taiyaki (fish waffle), good amount of filling and crispy on the outside. There is always a queue but it moves quickly. Service is efficient and friendly, menu is in English. Recommended if you are in Ueno area.
