It is the remains of the Choshu clan residence. It may be hard to find because it has the same color as the hotel wall. By the way, the statue of Kogoro Katsura is near the entrance of the car on the side of Kawaramachi.
On the south side of Oike-dori, there is a stone monument of the Kaga domain residence.

It is right next to the parking lot entrance of Kyoto Hotel Okura.
There are only stone monuments and explanations.
It's not enough to go all the way, but if you like history, it's fun to stop by and imagine.
According to the explanation, at the time of the Kinmon Incident, the Choshu clan set fire to the mansion when it lost, so I closed my eyes and imagined it. ?
