★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food is great. Its not that expensive and you can experience great foods and services. The staff does not know so much English, but they do have English menu.

There is some dishes which not in English menu, for example the Curry rice. I have to ask them by Google translate.
The food is MUCH better than their pictures in the menu ( both visually and tasty)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Xenophobia! Foreign tourists beware! The restaurant opens at 5:30 pm. We arrived at 5:45 pm. Restaurant was empty and yet staff/chef refused to seat us. If I could rate this place a ZERO star, I would!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Everything from the agemeshi to o-niku to obanzai was delicious! The service was great! They even provided us hizakake (a blanket to cover our legs because we just came in from the cold). Nice touch.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a light supper here. An Oolong-hai paired our food of succulent chicken wings and dashimakitamago. The star of our evening was a sea-bream kamameshi and the salmon and roe kamameshi. It was a tasty, wholesome, hearty and healthy end to the day, and a fantastic start to our holiday here. If I have a chance and some appetite, I'd sneak back here. A choice menu of sake is available. Friendly service and a non-rowdy dining crowd.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great izakaya with variety of small dishes. Flavouring is very Kyoto style, subtle and very refined. The service here is good, very polite and fast. Interior and ambience is also fantastic, very modern and current. Price per dish vary from 600 yen to 2200 yen.
