★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Value for money restaurant around this area. Food is awesome and tasty. I got the Hamburg set. Cheesy and flavourful coupled with salad, miso soup and rice. The only drawback is the long waiting time. I waited about 40min.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Took us a while to get a table at this casual dining restaurant on a Saturday evening. Food was decent, good range of options for fussy eaters with even hot pot on the menu for 1 person. Definitely recommended for families and friends who just want a simple, hearty meal without spending too much in this area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice restaurant at the Hoshinoya Karuizawa resort. It’s actually right next to their hot spring so is very popular. The restaurant is considerate enough to set up a comfy waiting area. The surrounding is very pretty - be surrounded by many trees and fresh air is just fantastic! The food they serve is also great - surprising inexpensive given its run by a premium resort. Very worthy of visiting and would love to come back again for sure!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After a relaxing hot bath next door, this is the best thing to do - indulge in some fresh seasonal dishes with great surroundings.
We had come here on a national holiday so it was quite busy. Had to queue up but you can leave your number and come back.
We managed to get seated at a corner with a splendid view of the green. I took the double curry, one Japanese style with soft beef, and the other with summer vegetables keema curry. Topped with non alcohol mock tail.
Even the rain didn't deter the visitors from coming. Could have sat there longer but didn't want to keep the queue waiting!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful spot tucked away past the main shopping area! We tried a variety of dishes (pork set, salmon, and hot pot) - all were delicious! The restaurant space is also open and modern.
