★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 弘化2年菊月28日（旧暦1845年9月28日）に作成された橘姓長尾家寺控記には一句宗 鵜足郡炭所村 長尾高慶の建立とある。宗派は浄土真宗興正寺派で六代前より長尾家の方から蓮井家の方が住職になり、家紋も変更になっています。別の文書では長尾孫七郎創建ともあります。この寺の背後には炭所城の城址があり、本来はこの寺も此の地の豪族であった大谷川氏の菩提寺であったのではないかということでした。広い境内で本堂は100年ほど前に建築されたものですが趣のある寺でした。
 The Tachibana surname Nagao family temple memorandum created on Kikuzuki 28th, 2nd year of Koka (September 28th, 1845) states that the Ichibushi sect, Utari-gun coal station village, Nagao Takayoshi was erected. The sect is the Jodo Shinshu Koshoji sect, and the Nagao family has changed to the Hasui family as the chief priest since before the sixth generation, and the family crest has also changed. In another document, it is also founded by Sonshiro Nagao. Behind this temple is the ruins of a charcoal castle, and it was said that this temple was originally the family temple of Mr. Otanigawa, who was a powerful family in this area. The main hall was built about 100 years ago in the large precincts, but it was a quaint temple.

他に聖徳太子、七高僧、親鸞上人、本常上人等の絵像が祀られています。
明応年中（1492〜1500年）に源少将に寄って開基され本尊仏は直立し袈裟を着け頭髪に縄目刻みがあって清源寺釈迦像の影響をうけています。永正三年（1506年）長宗我部元親の来襲による長尾氏滅亡の折、息子長尾孫七郎が玄正と改め尊光寺に入寺し中興開基しました。
玄正法師以来長尾氏が住職が十四代続いた後、万延元年（1860年）阿野郡の蓮光寺から蓮井良弁が迎えられ住職と成り現在に至ります。
残念なのはたいそう立派な庭があるのですが手入れされていないのと、境内裏側に城跡があるように資料には書かれているのですが、道標も案内板も説明板も無くよく分からないです。

After Mr. Nagao continued his priesthood for fourteen generations since Genshoho, in the first year of Man'en (1860), Rōben Hasui was greeted by Renkoji Temple in Aya-gun and became a priest.
Unfortunately, there is a very nice garden, but it is not well maintained, and it is written in the material that there is a castle ruin on the back side of the precincts, but there are no signboards, information boards, explanation boards, so I do not understand well. ..
