★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 祭神：經津主神（ふつぬしのかみ）(*1)
文禄年間（1592年～1596年）鐘山林伐木中一口の劔を得たり。里人相はかりてこれを御たまとして一祠を立てたるもの即ち当社なりと伝う。「香川県神社庁誌より」
境内のアベマキの大木(*2)は一見の価値はあります。
(*1) 日本神話にみえる神の名。別名伊波比主（いわいぬし）神。フツは物を断ち切る擬態語で，荒らぶる神々をぷっつり断ち切る刀剣の神。香取神道流の開祖で剣聖と伝えられる塚原卜伝で有名な香取神宮の祭神も經津主神。

ブナ科コナラ属の落葉高木。コルククヌギ、ワタクヌギともいう。
