After visiting Mukou Kuroyama Castle, I visited. First, I went around the circumference. Do not enter private land! Unfortunately, I couldn't put it in, but it wasn't an atmosphere where I could see it. Will there be any maintenance in the future?

Naoe Kanetsugu "The current castle is close to the mountains, so it's dangerous to be bombarded." I decided to move the castle here Ieyasu Tokugawa, who is in power at the time, makes a difficult habit and drives him to cancel. Over time, their descendants will be bombarded by the mountains and fall into the castle.

I have learned from talking with the locals. It seems that the historic site was considerably deformed when the cultivated land in the fields was reorganized ? The four corners around the former site of Honmaru It can be seen in the distance of the organized rice fields. I managed to barely use the signboard of the locals You can see [Kamishi Castle Ruins] ? I hope you will continue to protect the historic sites.

Uesugi Kagekatsu, who was transferred from Echigo to Aizu by the order of Toyotomi Hideyoshi Taiko in the New Year of 1598 (Keicho 3), has a narrow Aizu Wakamatsu Castle (Tsuruga Castle) located in the southeast corner of the Aizu Basin. Being too close to the mountains on the east side, he suffered from becoming the target of the cannon that was spreading at that time, and from February 1600 (Keicho 5) began construction of a new castle in Kamisigahara on the banks of the Agagawa River in the center of the basin. I did. The magistrate was Kanetsugu Naoe, the consul. The fact that Aizuwakamatsu Castle was at the target of the cannon was revealed during the Battle of Aizu in the Meiji era. With 120,000 people mobilized, Honmaru built a stone wall from March to June, Ninomaru started in May, and the earthworks and moats were shaped in June. However, this series of construction work in the territory became one of the excuses for Ieyasu Tokugawa's conquest of Aizu, and the construction of the castle was canceled due to interception and was not completed. In 1601 (Keicho 6), Kagekatsu Uesugi was transferred to Dewa Yonezawa, and Kozashi Castle, which was in the process of being built, was destroyed, and the stones of the stone wall seemed to have been carried to Aizuwakamatsu Castle. From the location and territory of the castle, it is clear that this castle was not built solely for military purposes, but was conscious of the river traffic of the Agano River, which is a tributary of the Agano River. Kagekatsu and Kanetsugu planned to build a castle town there with the aim of creating new economic effects. In fact, it was a contoured structure that expanded the mansion castle, not a military priority structure. It is a contour type Hirajo consisting of Honmaru and Ninomaru. I was there. It is said that Kanetsugu Naoe, a magistrate of the Soviet Union, territorialized the "zelkova of Takase", which still exists in the remains of the earthworks of the castle's Omotemon, and the North Pole.

As you navigate, you will find two small forests in the rice field. One is here, and the other is the earthwork. This is a private land, so you can't enter it. However, the site of the earthworks can be visited with wooden stairs and a passage like a corridor. Both have no parking. The earthwork site also has an explanation board, and when you look around the hill several meters high, you can see the surrounding rice fields. I think it's difficult to defend. So I wonder if it was unfinished. A wooden walkway makes a round trip around a large zelkova. In other words, I now realize that it is for zelkova, not for castle ruins. The large zelkova that grows on the earthwork has become a natural monument, giving a sense of history.
