The whole grounds here are beautiful, and I highly recommend a visit. There is a small fee for going inside the castle (which is also a museum); the view from the top was lovely, so I personally thought the fee was worth it, but as most of the information inside is in Japanese, visitors to Japan may decide to simply view the castle from the outside. My family and I just enjoyed being in the grounds, and spent more time here than intended.

Very beautiful castle! The Aizuwakamatsu festival in September is a wonderful time to come here! The castle is a museum and tickets are reasonable, though a bit on the expensive side at 1000 yen, which gives access to the inside of the castle and the tea garden. Beautiful nature surrounding this castle and lots of history!

A lovely, beautiful, photogenic castle, the white walls and the red tiles give the castle a unique look. The surrounding stones walls and the moat are picturesque, and the museum inside the tower is very informative and interesting, with pretty good English. The view from the top of the castle is magnificent.

Beautiful castle. Has five storeys and you can enter and see the exhibits(rare during corona). Photography inside the castle is prohibited on the first and second floor. The view from the top is amazing. You can see Mt. Bandai and all of the surrounding hills.

When visiting the castle in the early morning we had a great time. With a permission we could fly our drone around the castle and inside we could enjoy the detailed museum without crowds. The content explanation is in Japanese but also various other languages like English and Chinese, so many people can enjoy it
