W	W T on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 土曜日の午前中に訪問しました。入館料は大人300円です。周りにいた他の人々は「お金いるのか…だったらいいや」という様子で、結局入館したのは自分一人だけでした。いかにして酒田の街が栄えたか。いかにして庄内米が一定の地位まで上り詰めたか。コメの品種、歴史、農法。それらが、広くはない展示スペースでしっかりと説明されていました。入館が有料だと知って8割の人が帰ってしまう、確かに分かります。でも逆に、お金を払って米作りの世界を覗いてみよう、そう思える残り2割の人は、きっとここを興味深いと感じられるはずです。館内中央にいるどデカいお米くんは、ちょっとシュールで笑ってしまいました。 I visited on Saturday morning.
