★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 酒田町奉行所跡は戦国時代、一時最上義光が荘内を領有した時、高橋伊賀が住んでいました。元和8年、酒井家入部後は御町代官と称していましたが、寛永年間までには御町奉行所に改められ、以後明治維新に至るまで246年間、町政の役所として機能してきました。
