It was hot in Kyoto, but the inside of the museum was cool, and there were many wonderful works that healed me.
When I went in May, I couldn't see it in the state of emergency, but this time I went for this.
There was also a parking lot, which was good. There was a person in charge at the entrance who kindly taught me.
The works of Jakuchu and Maruyama Okyo were wonderful. I also like the work of the second term.
You can also visit Shokokuji Temple in September.

I went to see Ito Jakuchu.
My family likes the fusuma painting of "Bashofu", but I felt that the feeling that the color emerged even though it was a sumi-e painting was wonderful.
Ike no Taiga, who was a member of the same era, was also a stone's throw.
I can't say whether the entrance fee is high or low, but there are few exhibits and the shop was expensive. It's a pity that the shop is where you can see the garden. However, I wonder if it was good because the exhibits are "genuine".

Shokoku-ji Temple (official name: Mannenzan Shokoku-ji Temple) is the head temple of the Rinzai sect Shokoku-ji school, which was founded by Yoshimitsu Ashikaga, the third shogun of the Muromachi Shogunate, with Muso Soseki opened in 1392. Geographically, many Zen priests representing the Five Mountains literature such as Chushin Zekkai and Keizo Yokokawa, who are ranked second in the Five Mountains of Kyoto, and painting priests who established the norms of Japanese ink painting such as Josetsu, Shubun, and Sesshu. However, it has been culturally in the center of Kyoto. With a history of more than 600 years, many cultural assets have been handed down, centering on medieval ink paintings, paintings, and tea utensils.
In April 1984, as part of the 600th anniversary of the founding of Shokokuji Temple, we were entrusted with the works of art that are handed down to Motoyama Shokokuji Temple, Kaenji Temple (Kinkakuji), Jishoji Temple (Ginkaku), and other tower temples, and preserved, exhibited, and repaired. The hotel was built for the purpose of research, research and dissemination of Zen culture. Today, it houses many excellent cultural properties, including 5 national treasures and 145 important cultural properties, and is holding various exhibitions.
In the first exhibition room, "Sekka-tei", which is said to be built in the precincts of Kinkaku-ji Temple, has been restored. A part of the important cultural property "Kinkaku-ji Daishoin Barrier Painting" has been relocated, and you can appreciate the work up close in the quiet space of the precincts of the ancient temple.
I visited to see the Ito Jakuchu exhibition. Kinkaku-ji Temple and Ginkaku Jishoji Temple are also the main temples of the Sokokuji school. Jakuchu at the museum is full of power. The chicken is about to start moving. The exhibition of fusuma paintings of Kinkaku and Ginkaku can be done on both sides, and it is a valuable experience because you can only see it from the outside. It seems that the floor of Kinkaku is painted with black lacquer, and although it is a photograph, the scenery where the gold is reflected on the black floor feels a mystery. On the way back, I will visit the tombs of Jakuchu, Fujiwara no Teika, and Ashikaga Yoshimasa. At the museum, we received three types of red stamps, including seasonal ones, but it seems that there were other types such as Jakuchu's red stamps at the main hall. Unfortunately, at the next opportunity

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First, I was surprised to know that Shokokuji Temple was so big though it was not as famous as Kiyomizudera Temple or Kamigamo Shrine.
The museum was big as well and miniature replica of Golden Pavilion and exhibition of Tea House were really worth seeing.
The exhibition of tea culture was nice and scenery of garden was adorable.
