Shirayama Shrine - Higashiibaraki District

The whole mountain is a sanctuary. Various shrines are enshrined on the way to the top, so if you climb down this mountain, you will get the same benefits as visiting the famous shrine. However, be careful not to fall because it is steep.

I think there used to be a deep faith. The mountain trail is relatively well maintained and the precincts seem to be well maintained. If the trees are cut down, it will be a superb view point.

A shrine on the summit of Mt. Hakusan. First of all, the entrance, but this is difficult to understand. The nearest bus stop has a name, but there are no signs around it. Akazawa's New Rural Village Center is a landmark, and if you walk along the road from here to the mountains, you will reach the forest. If you walk further in the forest, you will see a torii gate. There is a stone statue that seems to be immovable near the torii gate, and you can feel the ancient mountain worship. There are two stone Buddhas protected by Azumaya just before the torii gate. Since you can see the stone monument of the 23rd night class and the characters of the Koyasu class, is it a Mahasthamaprapta? It looks like a woman, but I'm not sure. Although the approach is relatively well maintained, it is difficult to break through with thin-bottomed sneakers. You will be climbing a considerable slope. If possible, you should prepare trekking shoes. You have to rely on exposed rocks here and there, which can be terrible for those who have never walked on mountain roads. As you climb up with your breath, you can see some Setsumatsusha on the way. The interesting thing was Konsei Shrine, which was decorated with paper and shimenawa, which was recognized as "Konsei soil". Perhaps the original principal image was this one. When you arrive at the summit, you will find the shrine, but it has no special features and is simple. It was probably built relatively recently. Looking at the lanterns that seemed to have collapsed due to an earthquake or something, it was 15 years of culture. It was an era when Ino Tadataka and others were active, and at least at that time there must have been some buildings. There is nothing to see in particular, but if you climb up to this point, you will feel a sense of accomplishment. On the way back, I went down the road that seems to be the back approach, but this is connected to the side road of Yamakura Shrine. The exposure of the rock surface is relatively small, but the trees are growing and covered with dead grass, so it is difficult to get rid of it. Visiting in the summer seems to be quite tiring.

It is one of the routes to Akazawafuji. There is no sign at the entrance and there is no parking lot. If you pass by the side of a private house and enter the mountain, you will find a torii gate. The shrine is located on the top of the mountain, so it's more of a mountain climb than a casual visit. The distance is not so long, but the steep slope continues. A little below Konsei Shrine is the spot where you can see the most scenery. Konsei Shrine is a shrine that seems to benefit men.
