★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 観光地の人混みから少し離れたら、静かで厳粛な空気の白根神社があります。
階段が急で柵が無いので、雪の日は気をつけないと危ないかもしれませんが、良い運動になります。
社務所がやっていなく、階段入口の左手にある、蕎麦屋松美さんで4枚1,000円の御朱印セットを頂きました。
松美さんがとても親切に対応して下さり、有難かったです。
次回はぜひここでお食事がしたいと思っています。
 A short distance from the crowds of tourist destinations, you will find Shirane Shrine, which has a quiet and solemn atmosphere.
The stairs are steep and there are no fences, so it may be dangerous if you are not careful on snowy days, but it is a good exercise.
The office wasn't doing it, and Mr. Matsumi Soba, on the left side of the stairs entrance, gave me a set of four red stamps for 1,000 yen.
I am grateful to Mr. Matsumi for his kindness.
I would love to have a meal here next time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 湯畑から徒歩５分くらいのところにあります。急な階段を上れない人はベルツ通り方面から行くとよいです。境内敷地内には三峯神社や諏訪神社などの分社があります。
It is about a 5-minute walk from Yubatake. Those who cannot climb the steep stairs should go from the direction of Berutsu-dori. There are branch offices such as Mitsumine Shrine and Suwa Shrine on the precincts.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 日曜に伺ったので、湯畑付近の人は一杯でしたが、こちらはヒッソリとしていました。草津の温泉を発見したとされる日本武尊が御祭神です。社務所に人がいて、今回参拝した白根神社と沼神社の御朱印をいただきました。
Since I visited on Sunday, the people near Yubatake were full, but this one was a mess. Yamato Takeru, who is said to have discovered the hot springs in Kusatsu, is the deity. There was a person at the office, and I received the red stamps of Shirane Shrine and Numa Shrine that I visited this time.

意外と観光客から見落とされがちなので、湯畑とセットで散策すると良いでしょう。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 早朝に行った影響か、社務所が開いておらず御朱印は断念 お蕎麦屋さんでいただけるようだが、時間が合わず次回のお楽しみにしようと思う
南門からの正規ルートは急な階段がしんどく、ご高齢者には厳しいかも
しかし、清々しい気分で参拝したうえ、祈願を書き込むベニヤ板があり、しっかり書いて来た
草津に行ったらまた行こうと思うが、夏場は虫除け必須
この後西の河原公園は徒歩で行ける
