★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic. Agree with all the comments. Food was next level ... I expect it will be the best experience we have in Japan. You could almost just come for the staff. Akira and family are unobtrusive but happy to explain, share experiences, discuss etc if you are.

It came recommended by the Ritz Carlton concierge but we couldn’t find many reviews about it online since it moved to this new location only 8 months ago. Super slick minimal decor, friendly staff, and delicious sushi and sashimi. Couldn’t ask for more!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best sushi restaurant ever! Amazing tasting experience, like in best rated restaurants. And for a reasonable price. Very friendly staff, talking English. Don’t be afraid to push the door even if nothing written in English. Highly highly recommended if you travel to Kyoto, and please sit at the counter to enjoy the whole sushi master experience!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A delectable sushi restaurant with a gorgeous interior. If you can, I recommend sitting at the counter which was made from a beautiful single slab of wood. You can watch them prepare your sushi and chat with them about the various dishes. They serve both sushi rolls and individual pieces. The staff was also very attentive.
