★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is by far the best udon soup I’ve ever had . Literally went from 0-100% happiness in 3 seconds (or after the first slurp). The noodles, the broth, the tempura.... everything was beyond excellence. I say it a lot about every dish due to my obsession of food, but this is A+++++ udon soup. This soup will turn any sadness to Disney World level of happiness, guaranteed!!!!
It’s located in Kyoto station if anyone is coming here. The name of the restaurant is in Japanese so I can’t even find it on yelp.
....
I’m gonna go remember this feeling for a very very long time .....

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful. I had the katsu curry udon. The pork was fried to perfection, the noodles were just right, and the curry soup didnt overpower the other flavors like I guessed it would. The service was top notch, to boot! Will come back again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Curry udon here is quite fragrance. The noodle is a bit too chewy, and the soup is too salty in my opinion, but the toppings are very good, especially chicken tempura and chikuwa tempura.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cold curry udon - very interesting taste, like nothing Ive had before. I had cold with egg and tofu. The tofu was sweet and delicious like inari wrapper and the egg was cold and just cooked. Enjoyable. The curry udon itself was like a running Curry, wasn't that much of a fan. However the Udon were bouncy and delicious. Others enjoyed their pork hot curry udon and the egg float Udon. Great service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Saw a long lineup here and decided to pop in for a quick bite. Udon noodles were bouncy and fresh. Curry duck breast broth was tasty but rather thin and plain aside from a few slices of duck. Value for price paid average. Service prompt and courteous.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Located at one of the corner of Porta dinning. We were trying to explore different cuisine on second night in Kyoto. We saw a long queue and we followed. We ordered beef_tofu udon and pork curry udon plus two portions of chicken drumlet while queuing. Restaurant decorations is modern, clean and space to keep luggages. Server was polite, helpful and efficient. Food was served quick after we sat down. The udon was surprisingly delicious, the meat was tender, the aroma of the curry saurce and the fresh spring union made the udon more tasty. We were rather satisfied with this meal. In fact, we visited again before we board the shinkansen to Nagoya.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good solid 3 star curry udon place for a quick bite. The noodles come out in piping hot soup and are perfectly chewy. Order a side of curry fried chicken for some extra protein to fill you up. Service is quick and friendly. Super convenient right in Kyoto station.
