K	Ksenia Pakharukova on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The price 2100/1050¥ is a bit high for what it is but it’s ok to visit during your vacation with children. I liked that dolphins stay in a fresh sea water. Actually they stay in the sea, just the area is separated wit the barriers. You can order the swimming with dolphins or feeding dolphins options before your visit but we didn’t know about that :( they also have the catamarans 1200¥ for 1h20 but due to coronavirus they were unavailable.

The floating pontoon walkways that connect the aquarium to the main building are a safety hazard. We did get to watch a herd of penguins waddle through a crowd of people so that kind of made up for the life threatening experience :) The entrance fee is too high for this place, but there really is not a whole lot else for kids to do in Shimoda besides the beach.

B	Britt N on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A bit small compared to some aquariums, so my expectations were not high, but I was pleasantly surprised by this aquarium. As you walk on the dock out to the aquarium you can already see some dolphins swimming around in quite a natural setting. The aquarium also has many interesting shows, and some uniquely japanese style exhibits. Also lots of emphasis on protecting marine species.

D	Deep. Ved on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Aquarium seems to be quite small, but actually it’s full of attractions. It’s fun to visit for a couple of hours on a clear day. You can get good views of all the fish and other marine animals they have. The dolphin and sea lion shows are also incredible to watch. They were really well-trained and they were doing exactly what they were ordered.
